Game 4

The home crowd wasn't enough to stir Edmonton's power play. They gave up a needless goal on a power play after gaining the only momentum they got all night.

The 2-1 loss stings on so many levels. It seems like Carolina has three players near the crease whenever the Oilers shoot the puck. And Edmonton is back to its timidness in the power play.

On a positive note, I appreciate NBC showing the pre-game festivities. Showing the Oilers coming onto the ice under the oil derrick, and displaying the joy and excitement during the national anthems. I have not heard a crowd in the U.S. sing its own anthem that loud with all the words, the way the Edmonton crowd sang O Canada.

Since this may have been the last game in Edmonton this year, I'm glad NBC showed off the enthusiasm of the Oilers' faithful.
