Game 2

Not much to say. . .

Jussi Markkanen got the start and will likely stay in goal for the Oilers. I agree that Craig MacTavish had to pick one or the other. And I confess I don't know enough about either one to know.

Markkanen gave up 5 goals, but Edmonton's offense disappeared. In a normal situation, there would be hope for Edmonton. Many people have given up on the Oilers so far, and there's no need to do it now. Going home for 2 straight games has to help.

For the American viewers, this was the last game on OLN (soon to be called Versus, I'm really not kidding). NBC takes it away for the rest of the time.

This may be an exaggeration, but I wonder if the last time NBC aired an event from Edmonton, it might have been Warren Moon and the Edmonton Eskimos during a NFL strike in the early 1980s. That in itself makes Games 3 and 4 an exciting watch on your local NBC television station. The fans of Edmonton deserve a U.S. showcase; hopefully, with all eyes on Edmonton, the Oilers can rise to the challenge.
