Healthier to be a Canadian

As least compared to Americans, it's healthier to be a Canadian.

According to Harvard Medical School researchers, Americans are 42 percent more likely than Canadians to have diabetes, 32 percent more likely to have high blood pressure, and 12 percent more likely to have arthritis.

The researchers believe Canada's national health insurance program can account for some of the difference, since universal coverage makes it easier to get disease-preventing health services.

Also from the survey, rates between Americans and Canadians were about the same for those with insurance. The uninsured of America is what drove up the numbers.
