Canada run done
Once again, Canada could not find a goal as the team was eliminated by Russia, 2-0. Russia had a power-play goal early in the third period, and added another power-play goal late in a 4-3 situation.
Canada had its chances, but had the same difficulty scoring it has had in three of the last 4 games. This was the third game Canada lost, all by a 2-0 score.
Earlier, Finland edged the U.S. 4-3, ending the U.S. chances at gold. Finland is now 6-0 in the tournament, and will play Russia.
So too bad for the Canadian squad. Revenge comes on home ice in 2010 at the GM Place in Vancouver.
