Toronto awarded 2007 Grey Cup
This year, Vancouver gets the honor, but the site of the Grey Cup gets rotated. The city that gets it loves to have the honor of having the home team play in the contest.
In 2006, Winnipeg will host the contest at Canad Inns Stadium. Toronto and the Rogers Centre will be the host in 2007.
"Through the commitment of its ownership and the strength of its leadership, the Toronto Argonauts have done an outstanding job at revitalizing its brand and this market's passion for Canadian football," CFL Commissioner Tom Wright told the press. "As the right choice for the 2007 Grey Cup game, we are excited to be bringing Canada's championship back to southern Ontario."
There are three domed stadiums in the league, counting Montreal's part-time home at Olympic Stadium. The 2005 and 2007 contests are being held in the permanent domed stadium homes of B.C. Place and the Rogers Centre.
