You call it Veterans, we call it Remembrance
November 11 means the same thing for most people. What seems to be different is what to call it. In the U.S., it's Veterans Day (or Veteran's Day to those who don't understand apostrophes). Older U.S. people will refer to it as Armistice Day.
However, in Canada, it's Remembrance Day. Just one of those fun little quirks between the two countries. But it is the day, regardless of the name, to honor those who have sacrificed their lives in war for their countries.
